As I was exploring BrightHaven's website it occurred to me that Animal Reiki is something I needed to know more about! BrightHaven is such a wondrous place so I emailed Gail Pope and asked her if she knew anyone who taught near me. She immediately told me about Barb and said "You'll love her". I contacted her that evening. Gail was right! Barb is great!
Immediately I felt a connection and knew we would hit it off. She is an amazing person and her love for animals is evident from the start.
My cat, Kenya, was having a bout with vomiting. It had gone on for several days so I emailed Barb and asked for her help. She did a distance treatment for Kenya as I observed and there was absolutely no question Kenya was getting the message. She was able to rest peacefully that evening and was more comfortable the next day. Thank you Barb!
I received my Reiki I certification from Barb and would have to say that if you've been thinking about it....don't hesitate. You'll be very glad you did!

I had been searching for an Animal Reiki class for a year when I found Barb. I was going to be in her area for a business trip and contacted her after finding her webpage online. After hearing about my long search for an animal Reiki teacher, she offered to do the class with me on very short notice. I found Barb to be a caring, enthusiastic and patient teacher. The class was perfectly balanced between "book" time and hands on learning. I had the opportunity to practice my fledging Reiki skills with horses, cats and dogs - healthy and ill. Barb was very helpful in sharing her expertise at each Reiki session and at the same time encouraging me to find what works for me. I strongly encourage anyone who has an interest in connecting with animals in a deeper way to take an animal Reiki class with Barb. Thanks again for a wonderful class!
